    Hey,

Anyone know what size I should make images for a 720p video? Should they just be 1280x720?

Im gonna be making the video in iMovie, HDV 720p, mainly importing pictures.

The reason I ask is because Ive seen articles like http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=iDVD/6.0/en/17.html and http://72.14.203.104/search?q=cache:0eq5X7p2tc8J:www.scantips.com ... &gl=us where they say to resize images to a size other than 720x480 for NTSC DVD's.

So what size is gonna give me the best picture? I plan on exporting the video to Apple TV which plays "H.264 Up to 5 Mbps, Progressive Main Profile (CAVLC) with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps (maximum resolution: 1280 by 720 pixels at 24 fps, 960 by 540 pixels at 30 fps)"

    Thanks

    720p is 1280x720 square pixel.

Expect an HDTV to overscan 5-15% so crop and resize with that in mind.
