I'm trying to convert some .avi to mpeg 2/DVD and the analyzing video step takes too long. Is there anyways to skip that step and go directly to encoding the video?

Is there any advantage for using the variable bitrate 2 pass encoding?

Yes, especially if you need to squeeze as much video on a disk as possible. 2-pass will use the bitrate more efficiently than CBR.Originally Posted by triumph2004"Art is making something out of nothing and selling it." - Frank Zappa
