There does not seem to be a good way, or at least none that I can find, to record DD and keep it DD.
Of course the SW laserdiscs come to mind, but there are some TV shows I'd like to burn to DVD and keep the DD 5.1 sound.
If you can output 6 analog channels, from a pre-amp or something, is there a way to record 6 high quality channels at the same time?
If there is a way to record each chanel from a DD source as wav files, it would then be a piece of cake to use Soft Encode or a similar software encoder to convert the analog audio to 5.1 DD.
Anyone ever try this?
