  1. I've got this 2 year old Memorex CRW-1622 - it worked fine until today. Anyway, so I'm burning a VCD of an mpeg file on Nero - and it works fine yesterday, but today, I burn a different mpeg file (which is really the dat from another VCD that I encoded properly with TMPGEnc) and I get an error message telling me how the calibration area is full and then it stops burning. I tried burning the mpeg that worked yesterday, but now it doesn't work either. Anyone have a clue? Mine is an old burner and I have been toying with replacing it, but I'd rather know for sure the burner is bad. Any tips? Anyone?

  2. Make sure you use good CD-R brands and also try lowering your burn speed. I have had the same errors but my burner is working fine now. Tends to play up on shotty cds.

  3. Well, I always burn VCDs at 1X and I've been using the same brand of Imation CDs for ages now and until today they treated me very well.
