Quicktime - Nero will only play part of mpeg file??

I have downloaded a mpeg file that goes for about an hour. Quicktime tells me it's only 24 minutes long and that's all it'll play. Nero says that its 24 minutes long but usually plays the entire show. I can even set chapter marks beyond the 24 minute mark. However when i go to burn it to cd or dvd with Nero it only burns the first 24 minutes. I tried MPEG corrector but that didn't help.

Thanks Baldrick. I ran it though and the resultant file was only 15minutes long! I will experiment with some options.
