Hi there,
I've discovered the world of video compression today, so please excuse the question if it sounds very stupid. I'm a real newbie.
Here is the problem: I've downloaded and installed VirtualDub. Using Ulead VideStudio, I've captured a DV video from my camcorder into an AVI file. When I try to open it using VirtualDub, I get the following error message:
"Couldnt't locate decompressor for format 'dvsd' (unknown)"
VirtualDub requires a Video for Windows (VFW) compatible codec to decompress video.
Question: what should I do? Where can I get such codec? I did not find anything about dvsd codec and the search function is down.
Thanks for your help in solving this hopefully minor problem!
