Question About Making Menu

Ive made a small little video with scrolling text and what not with Swish, saved it as an AVI and converted it to MPG. My question is how do I make this a menu?

I want to be able to put a movie in my DVD player and have this video play first. Im going to have a thing that reads "push the >| key to start movie" or something like that.

I know how to add it for it to play before the movie but I want it to stay on the first part untill >| is pushed.

The >| key on the remote is usually mapped as "next".
