    is there any good hardware I can buy i can use a remote to play content of my computer, wirelessly?

    I did it with a laptop. The laptop output s-video to a TV, and get the vob files from a wireless server on 801.2g. They were couple of Staples promo, and Starwars-3.

    One should able to do this with a Small bare bone PC at about $250.
