fit a whole movie roughly about 130 min long onto one single 700mb cd-r? I have heard mixed reviews, if this can be done what program should I use to "compress" the mpeg. Please feel free to email me any tutorails or suggestions, as I would kindly appriciate it, Thanks. mattfla40@hotmail.com

You can fit a 130min source on an 80min CDR but you'd have to make a xVCD (non-standard VCD) by lowering the bitrate. The VCD stardard calls for video bitrate=115-kbit/s and audio=224kbit/s, to get 130min on an 80min CDR we're talking about: video=736 audio=96. Unless that's a DVD rip w/ 5pass CCE VBR (even then) it's going to look pretty bad.
So encoding on 2 CDRs is the better way to go.
