  1. Hi
    I try to convert a mpg2 to mpg2 (with different size and bitrate) using tmpgenc
    the software seem to only see the video it does not want to take the audio in this file
    The audio is playing no problem in windows media player
    avi codec is telling me that the audio codec is a ac3 dvm.
    I try to extract the audio content of the source using goldwave but I wont open the sound from the file either.

    So anyone know what i can do to make tmpgenc take the audio for this conversion ?

    TMPGEnc encoder can't use AC3. But you can save out the AC3 and combine it back when you author to DVD format, along with your converted video.

    EDIT: You can extract the AC3 with VirtualDub Mod.

    Extract the AC3 from the Video:
    Start Virtualdubmod.
    1. Open the video, File-Open
    2. Select Streams->Video list
    3. Select Demux and save the ac3 audio.

    Then select your MPEG video in your authoring program, and your AC3 audio. I use TDA for this.
