Ditto using Ulead DMF for an SVCD - PowerDVD throws an error with it. It seems to create a set of XA data files (I can see them under CD Info with EasyCD) but otherwise my PC thinks it is a duff Audio CD with a list of "track.cda" entries!
I created an SVCD with Nero and it has a proper directory structure and plays fine on my PC but I like the menu structure facility in Ulead DMF. I don't have a standalone DVD player so I don't know if it would work on that, but in any case I want it to play on with PC DVD software as well.
Any Ideas?
PC: Win98SE~Samsung SM308B DVD/CDRW~Athlon 850~320MB.

I cant even get it to recognise any MPEG files so it loads up so I gave up with this program

I haven't used Video Factory to playback VCD and SVCD on a PC but I have had no trouble using it to write CDRW discs in VCD, SVCD, and XVCD formats. The discs work on my Philips 712 DVD player. Perhaps Ulead didn't consider the use of these discs on PC systems?

Hello,
I'm also using Ulead DVD Movie Factory,
Most of DVD player doesn't recognize cDVD (DVD Video format on CD)
Only few does! But you should not have any problems playing cDVD on PC
With DVD Playback Software, cDVD will hold video for more or less 18 min,
So it's actually not practical, I suggest you to burn your Video on SVCD format,
Though the quality is lower, but still it is superior to VHS, a blank CD holds
30-45 Min Video that will be playable on most DVD Player or DVD Playback Software!
Still got problem playing your cDVD, try burn with SonicMyDVD, It has built-in DVD playback software!
