creating vcd's - standards

Well i'm another newbie and have spent many hours trying to sort this vcd thing out.

my prob is when i try to burn using nero it says "stream encoding is invalid for a vcd..." i have converted it to
352x240/29.97hz and seem to have the correct audio.

second prob - how do i use the templates - do i cut and paste or something?... i use tmpge ( or at least try!!)

Just click on the "load" button near the bottom and pick the one you want.
