See I've this peculiar problem for last two years, but didn't pay too much attention until today when I decided to do more testing and pose a question on this forum. I buy a lot of original Bollywood movies, extract the songs that we all like and make a song and dance video with subtitles for our personal viewing. I use TDA to author the video with menu and subtitles and write them on a dual layer DVDs (Verbatim, Memorex).

So far so good. The authored videos play well on my Sony DVP-NS75H, subtitles show up as expected. However, in almost all the DL disks that I've made, two and half hour into the videos, some of the subtitles start appearing inelligible. Say I have two lines of subtitles, the first one comes out broken but the second one is fine. Then the next set of subtitles are ok, however, a little later some broken lines appear again. On some disks this doesn't show up until 3 hours into the video. I played the disks on my computer, no problem. I played them on my Sony RDR-HX900 DVD recorder, no problem. So, it must be the characteristics of DVP-NS75H. May be it's because of the subtitle font or whatever, this particular player fails at some point to decode the subtitles properly. Is it a big deal? No, however, I am curious to know why something like this happens. Anybody has any insight?
