I have been using vso convertxtoDvd for all my .avi's and .divx files, but now I have a few .rmvb files. Is there an easy way to convert them to straight to DVD without converting to .avi? Cause I tried that first, and it turned a 175Mb file into a 2.1Gb avi. So, quick and easy? Anyone?

Tried WinAvi6.3 and it gave me skippy delayed sound.

You guys are brilliant, so if there is an easy way, I'm sure you guys know what it is. Thanks for any help.

Epext the size to increase dramatically regardless of the tool you use. Real Media files are heavily compressed, so converting to mpeg-2 will give you much larger files as a result. what is the runtime of the file ?

Ok, I tried Super - File had no sound. What settings should I use for rmvb to dvd?

I know file size increases. When I convert an .avi to dvd with vsoconvertxtodvd to goes from 300Mb. to about 800-900Mb. And using DVD shrink I can still fit like 8 or 98 episodes on one disk. But with Winavi, the rmvb was only halfway done and was up to 2GB, oh and the running time is about 40min per episode.

And I don't know how to use EO Video. Can you give me the settings I need?

I tried latest version of VSO Convertxtodvd, but it said that my
RMVB file was an unknown/unsupported format.

I tried latest EO Video. After more than two hours, it had made its way through the first 15 minutes of my RMVB file.

    What else is there?

Real Alternative to allow Avisynth to load the video as a direct show source, then frameserve this to any encoder. You will have to uninstall Real PLayer to use real alternative.

I've really never had any problems with audio in SUPER. Did you see that 'Disable Audio' wasn't checked? And that you selected a output audio codec? But it may not understand all types of audio.

The best and easiest solution is use gabest's real media splitter. It is part of Real Alternative. If you have RealPlayer installed, you don't need to uninstall realplayer and install the whole real alternative. You only need to install RealMediaSplitter.ax by typing at DOS prompt:
    regsvr32 RealMediaSplitter.ax.
    (for uninstall, type regsvr32 /u RealMediaSplitter.ax)
Now you can open rmvb files in TMPGenc, without using a frame server. If you use CCE or other encoders, you need to use Avisynth as frame server.

We have several guides on converting RMVB, and I wrote one of them.
