  1. I bought a 12x burner and my dvd player only reads cd-rws so i bought high speed cd-rws...i burned it at 10x and to my luck..i get shit......could it be the media or the speed of the burn......

    Could be both. Try a much lower speed like 4x and don't multitask and close all background programs. Then try again. If that doesn't work try 1x.

    After you have actually burnt the CD-RW you should see if you can actually view the clip from your CD-RW drive. Just to make sure you did everything correct.

    It might be your DVD player? I have no problems with high speed burns.

  4. Well, I don't know if it's the speed (8x) or Nero itself (or myself and this being my very first), but my first SVCD came out pretty bad. It seemed, by playing it with WinDVD, as if it would be played from some kind of buffer. Every now and then, as if it run out of buffer space, video-audio get desynchronized, video gets jerky. First it is just noticable, then it becomes frustrating, annoying, as if the movie could stop any moment...

    I am being careful w/ burning speed since then.
