  2. i have the same problem when trying to fast forward or rewind. I can do it with VCD but the scandata.dat file doesn't seem to work with Nero, and i tried putting it in another burn program but it didnt' work. I'm also losing time at the end of my SVCD, but that problem is with DVDx 1.6. anyone wanna help us newbies?

  3. StoneTheCrows,

I was pretty luck because I didn't have any problems with my Nero or the .dat file. May I ask what version of Nero are you folks using. After reading so many posts, I found that some version of Nero is troublesome. Anyway, did anyone of you re-download the .dat file before? Jordan

  4. I had the same problem with FF/RW SVCD's until I upgraded to v5.5.5.1. With this version I don't have to place a home made scandata file, it does it automatically. No FF/RW problems since.

As far as the delay between tracks, after you drag the VCD/SVCD file into the bottom left window, right click the file and select properties. It'll give you an option for "pause after track". Put zero and you'll have a quick
delay between tracks. If you want a zero gap between tracks then you'll have to merge the tracks with Tmpenc or some other program. But you won't have any chapters then.

  5. yup as of 5.5.5.1 nero fixes the svcd scandata.dat issue

if you want a really seamless vcd but with chapters you can use entry points. you have to use tsvc or some authoring program and you can create a chapter by just using a time within the movie instead of having to have individual tracks.
just join the files together and let tsvc do its magic.. there is a link to a tsvc tutorial on this site
