    Is that possible to create
500 photo menu on DVD and controllable by TV remote controller?

If yes, how? Thanks a lot.

  2. Po-Shan, do you want 500 thumbnails on one screen (I seriously doubt it) or do you somehow want access to 500 photos?

I've made slideshows with video editing software, specifically, Pinnacle Systems Studio 7. The slideshow has background music and lots of photos (there's no limit) with cool transitions in between. The slideshow is then exported to an MPEG-2 file, and I use DVD authoring software to create a menu with a button to select each slideshow.

Studio 7 really is a video capture and editing application, but you can import images into the project because video clips are not necessary.

    Hope this helps. Good luck!

Thanks a lot for your response.

I do not want the menu on one screen, but I want to do

"Previous Photo" "Next Photo" for 500 photos and

hopefully, I can jump through 500 photo (slides), if there is any possibility.

Can I navigate thru. pictures with DVD images? That might be navigate through frames in DVD?

    Thanks a lot.

  4. I'm not very familiar with the most expensive authoring software out there, but I suppose each photo could be a menu and your "next photo"/"previous photo" could be links to other photo/menus. It sounds very time consuming, but if that's what you want to do.

About navigating, when I put my photo slideshows into mpeg-2, I can scan forward and backward, but if you want the picture just before and after, you'd have to pause and do a frame advance. So the answer is yes.

    Thanks a lot.

I was told that it's doable with certain amount of menu selections, but
500 might be out of the range. That's what I was curious about. ...

  6. Exactly. The software would have to allow that many menus.

Do you know if there is any software can do this?
    Thanks.

  8. I honestly don't. I recommend you start a topic with a subject like "Which DVD authoring software gives you the most menus"? That may generate some good responses.
