Hi there everyone i need some help here.
I want to create a vcd. First of all I have 2 files which are avi(dixv) files. And I want to put these 2 files together into an mpeg/vcd file.
In totally it comes to about 83 minutes. Problem is i only have 83 minute cd's. I am using Nero 5.5. I have a Phillips CDD3160CDR/W.
So can someone please help me out and tell me how do I get this movie onto this one VCD?
Thanks

Let's assume you are encoding with TMPGenc. There are several ways to get 83min to fit on one 80min cdr. You can lower the bitrate of the video, lower the bitrate of the audio, or encode with CQ_VBR instead of CBR (eg. Sefy's templates).
The easiest is to drop the audio from 224k to 190k (I can't hear the difference). -
Go here to get the template you need to tmpgenc.

The encoder doesnt recognise the avi files, which i believe are divx encoded!
whats going on here!? -
Try the codec section of this homepage and download Divx 3.11 codec and Krystals codec
once these are installed your computers media player can play these files, and the TMPGE encoder can recognize em.
good luck
