    Hi!

I'm completely new to this forum and could use some help. I've been searching and searching for the last few weeks for a simple program that can convert my own recorded DVD's to a format that I can do some simple editing with. Since I'm quite familliar with both Photoshop and Photoshop Elements the idea of a similarly simplified video editing program (Premiere Elements) was quite appealing. But after contacting Adobe on the matter of the possibility for Premiere Elements converting vob files to any other format I was refered to....yours truely VideoHelp.com.

Scanning through topics and posts the last week in this forum I finally found a program (VOB2MPG) that seemed to do exactly (or part of) what I needed. With a simple conversion I should now be able to work in Windows Movie Maker 2/Vegas 4.0...but no.
As soon as the files are finished converting I try and run them in WMP10 but get a error message saying "Cannot allocate memory because no size has been set" and then "Runtime Error! R6025 pure virtual function call".
I've searched for any solution to the problem but not been able to find any...what do I do?

I have already tried several other conversion programs (freeware) such as AutoGordianKnot.2.20, DVDx, avi.NET v1.4, ReJig, dvd connexit, Virtual Dub Mod.....they are too complicated for me (mind you, as previously noted, I'm a complete newbie in this matter).....

VOB2MPG would be perfect if I could get it the converted files to work, but how????

Any sort of help would be very much appreciated...

    Fred

Try VideoReDo, Cuttermaran, or MVW. They take in VOB and can edit them directly.

Don't know if this will be an answer to your question or not, but I've run into issues with VOB2MPG whenever I've done more than 5 or 6 Vobs at one time..So what I did was rip one VOB out of the set and rip it to my hard drive and then let VOB2MPG work with one individually each time until I had done the complete VOB set....Worked like a charm then...Don't know if it'll fix your problem, but I hope it will..

Maybe worth posting the question on this thread as the program's author is the Moderator.
