Im confused. All the media player which i used are having problems with avi playback.
Actually not all avi but this particular avi.
Those who are going to start blaming my computer hardware, STOP.
    Virtualdubmod plays this avi perfectly.
But ir want to watch this avi in full screen..
Maybe someone could point out a player that uses the same technology as virtualdubmod to playback avi with the capability for full screen..
And if you have the time, could anyone explain why only virtualdubmod could play the avi perfectly.
(The player I have tried are Core media player, Windows media player, cyberlink powerdvd, media player classic)
PostScript: I forgot to mention that the problem was due to 100% cpu usage but as i hv said dont blame my hardware as Virtualdubmod uses 50 to 60 percent cpu usage to play the file.

    Anyone???????????????????????????

VLC Media Player. Many settings, very versatile and it's free.

can't you play it at all with other media players?
you could try repair it with divfix or resave it as a new avi with virtualdubmod, video->direct stream copy and save avi.

    Dear baldrick, Well i did..
I tried direct stream copy and fast recompress(to divx) but still the same.
I think u misunderstand what i was trying to say.
The avi(xvid) can be played but since cpu usage was 100%, it cant be played properly.
But the weird part is Vlc media player played it perfectly at 20 to 30 percent cpu usage..
    It's so weird.
Well i downloaded via bitcomet with torrent from http://yhbt.mine.nu/.
    It's naruto episode 156.
The other 155 file plays perfectly.
btw, i downloaded divfix immediately after i read your post but zero errors for episode 156.
    Any answer?
Btw baldrick, your guide and posts are the best.. Love your work.
If i can remember your work, you must be the best.. .
