  1. i've read all the guides here about it but i get stuck in one place:

    i used mkvextract_gui to extrack the video and the audio that i want, the format of the audio is aac, i use virtualdubmod to join the two but it doesn't join aac with avi, so convert it to wav then mp3, somehow i can't just convert from aac to mp3....(i also did ogm to mp3) but thats not the real problem, when i play the joined file the audio is off with the video, i then played them seperately one by one and found out that the video timing is(ms) 21:14 and the audio is 25:16......

    so i want to join them but the timing is off, any help is appreciated

    it could be vfr(variable frame rate) video....i would then give up...

    how long is the mkv clip?
