    I have version 1.4.2 and when i convert a DV file to DVD with it...it crased the DV file is 37GB. I never have had it crash before it will encode the file for 3 hours or so before it crashes.

    it is pretty stable ussually ... may have a bad spot in the file most likely problem ..

    you could split the file up and batch encode it or check the whole file ...

    or try frame serving the dv file to MC with avisynth
