  1. AC3 avi movie has no sound in PowerDVD, Windows media and other players but Windows movie maker in WinXP plays sound.

    How can it be fixed?

    Try installing AC3Filter. Although, AFAIK, PowerDVD should be able to use it's own AC3 decoder ...
    If in doubt, Google it.

    That would also requires an AC3/AVI parser though, unless the cyberlink decoder includes one.

  4. Thank you gentlemen.
    Ac3 codec has bn installed.
    So, I converted this avi to wmv with windows movie maker.
    Then, this wmv file is okay in WMP, PowerDVD and other players.
    Sound is good.

    In this case, the original avi file was broken?
