  1. Hi,

I encoded a Divx from camcorder without deinterlacing. So when I play this file on any media players, I can see the typical interlace horizontal line. Is there any player which will deinterlace on-the-fly so that I dont have to re-encode my file.

One option i could think was to use virtual dub and play just the output window after deinterlacing. Unfortunately I couldn't set the output window to full screen. So if it is possible to make virtualdub play in full screen, that will also sove my problem.

    Thanks,
    Karthik

PS:I think VLC can do this under some advanced setting. I just dont know what.

PowerDVD definitely does - I would assume that WinDVD probably would too.
    If in doubt, Google it.

I'm not sure what your signal path is but VLC (VideoLAN) and other media players can realtine deinterlace to the screen. Just right click and try the various deinterlace modes. Deinterlace quality is only fair.

Will you then be attempting a screen capture?

If you only want to view the file, PowerDVD or WinDVD will probably do a better job but VLC is free.

  5. If it was resized when encoding, it's hopeless.
