  1. Having problems making VCD's

TDK Reflex CDRs burn "successfully" but there is no data reported on the disk by windows explorer. Unbranded CDRs fail immediately with block beyond end of track error. Samsung CDRs work OK.

Is this a CDR brand problem or program/hardware. Using EZCD 4 delux and Phillips PCRW404 drive. Help appreciated.

PS I can't source the Samsung disks at the moment but have loads of the others

  2. Depends, is this happening ONLY with this type of media ? it could be incompatible with your drive.

  3. I've had similar problems with EZCD 4 when trying to create VCDs. I'd suggest that you try VCDEasy (which can be downloaded from this site) and see if you get better results.

  5. Thanks, will try your suggestions

Sefy - these are the only media I have tried. In the case of the TDK you can actually see the burnt area but it reports empty!

You do know Windows Doesn't report the full size of VCD

It only reports the size of the files, not the movies.

If u disk is 700megs, windows may only report 1.34megs used.

It "see's" but doesn't report the VCD movie files because they aren't written the same as data.

  7. Do the CD's you burn work on another PC ? or better, do they work on a DVD Player ? cause if they do, it just might be a problem in the PC, and that can always be narrowed down and fixed.
