Ok, I have rebuilder 0.77, I am using CCE 2.67 SP and I have it set at 4 pass mode.
I am encoding a 7.5Gb DVD to a DVD-R and after waiting 9 hours for this crap the final size of the encoded DVD is 16Gb. ?>?????
Ok, I know I messsed up but God DAMN!! What did I do wrong, what do I have to change and do I really need to do a 4 pass or is a 1 pass the same quality. Please give me your suggestions on what settings to use so I can get the best quality on 1 DVD-R
Thanks for your help, and I used the Doom9 guide to do this....

By all means, get the latest version- the installer version. It's puzzling so many people have problems with DVDRB. I still use v.0.52 and vaguely remember having to get rid of an old incompatible version of Avisynth, also searching for a specific version of MPEG2Dec3 that didn't bugger things up. I think I also had to drop a .dll or two into system 32.
But those bad old days should be over.Tried the installer? It should make all that crap unnecessary.
P.S.: Yeah, I always download and save new releases. But why should I dump v. 0.52, it's been perfect after all the time and trouble it cost me to get it working.Pull! Bang! Darn! -
Been using DVDRB since about 0.52, and never had it bugger up. I am currently using 0.82, with CCE 2.67, and it works quite happily as 3 passes. I have heard of cases where, like Shrink, it gives results that are slightly too big, and a second run through ( or a dose of shrink ) will set things right. I have never heard of it coming out at double the size.
