  1. Hello,

I really hope that someone has a solution to my problem now as my work day will go to the trash bin if I cannot get it working today. The thing is that I'm using Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5 and have been capturing via it for a long time. Some days ago there was some corruption in it and I had to do a re-install. Now, when I go to the capture in Premiere, only the Stop and Record control buttons are active and although I can see the picture of camera and can capture it, I can only control the camera via its own buttons, not via PC like I always did before. This even didn't disturb me so much until I found out that I cannot export to tape anymore either! The selection is simply grey and inactive. I have to get the sequence back to my camera tape and I have done it all the time, so there's no way I'm doing something wrong. Everything makes me thinking that there is some kind of an issue either with the drivers of FireWire IEEE card for example. I uninstalled the card's drivers and re-installed them, but didn't help at all

Please, everybody who has some ideas, post them here. I am sure there must be a not too complicated way to resolve the issue and I really need to know it. If you need more information, feel free to ask.

    Thank you really really much!!!!

Don't know how to fix your Adobe Premiere Pro, but if you need to export back to tape, WinDV can do it. Check out tools on the left. Plus, a) It's free, and b) it's a tiny program at 98K.

  3. Thanks for that tip, mate! I tried it and basically I can record with it. But if still talking about the issue with Premiere, it seems I figured out with that simple WinDV program, what is the problem. Basically there has probably been some change in my system which now renders the external controlling of video cam impossible. For example with that WinDV it started playing and it started showing the play in the camera as well, but the camera simply didn't start recording (I had to do it manually by pressing the red trigger).

So does someone have an idea how to fix the device control in my system?

    Thanks!
