Could anyone please post what the last version/binaries to fully work with a G3 are? I've gone back to version k mostly out of confusion. I know there are more recent versions that worked fine for me but I can't remember which one, nor how to identify which binaries to use (BTW, can older binaries still be downloaded?).
A clarification of this, as well as possible links for downloading, would be greatly appreciated, especially for any registered G3 users.

I did not know about any versions for G3. It would be really helpfull to compile mplayer and mencoder with some optimalization. like rpm packages.
higly optimized binaries for G3.dmg
dtto for G4.dmg
dtto for G5.dmg
I believe that such step may DRAMATICALLY improve performace of such programs

You may find the G3 version of mencoder and mplayer on this link:
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/mplayerosx/ffmpegXbinaries230105_G3.zip?download
This version is untested, so please post here any feedback.
To install, copy the unzipped files into /Library/Application Support/ffmpegX or use the self-installer (click "Install binaries" in the ffmpegX menu in the apple menu bar). The installer will think they are a wrong version and mark them in red at each launch, so for now just cancel the warning and go ahead (next version will fix this).
