    Why does this happen?

    Select audio file to ac3 in target format pop-up in Summary segment tab, drag a 48 Hz stereo .wav file into drop field of Summary segment tab, click encode. Get Applescript Error -1728:Can't get text item 2 of "No video".

    You are using a release version of 0.0.9s which had a small bug, which has been corrected since. Download again ffmpegX 0.0.9s and it should work.
