how do you fade with ulead video studio 8, or how do you add a black space to write some credits? if you can't then what software can?

1. Add your original video.
2. Since we want a fade in, we need a black screen. Go to colors, drag a black square to left side of the video from step 1.
3. Up in the upper left corner, adjust the time you want the black screen to last.
4. Go to Transitions=>Effects. Select Crossfade and drag it to the small square between the black screen and video.
5. Go back to the upper left and adjust the time for the fade in to last.
6. Repeat step two, only drag the black color to the end of your video.
7. Repeat step 4, only add the Crossfade between the end of your video and the right black box.
8. Repeat step 5 for the right black box, only add how long you want the credits to last.
9. Go to Titles and add the credits and any animations you want them to have.

wow that works great, one more problem though. i'm creating some menus and i don't like the templates, is there a way were i can change the color of the buttons, add text to certain places, change the button to a picture not from the mpeg its for, and freely move the buttons to where i want?
