  1. Ive converted an avi to dvd using the film machine but im not sure if im including the right files in the video_ts folder when using nero to burn it to dvd.

The only thing that seems to have burnt to the dvd is a jpeg image. Do i need to include anything in the audio_ts folder.

Im copying the filed from the output folder created by the film machine. Is this right?

    Hello,

Recheck the folder. If the conversion was accurate you should have .vob and .ifo files in the folder. You'll want to burn the whole video_ts folder in disc-at-once mode (ie d:/video_ts). If there aren't any .vobs in the video_ts folder you'll have to redo the processing, those are the video files needed for dvd.

  3. there arnet any vobs or ifos in the folder. im going to do it again and let nero auto burn the dvd once the film machine has finished. Do you know why these files have not been created? Surely i will get the same files next time as well?

    Hello,

I can't tell you as I haven't used the film machine. I use tmpgenc dvd author or ulead dvd factory. Best of luck on the retry. Make sure you select dvd for output and look for the vob files afterwards.

  6. I had some problems with The Film Machine. You could try GUI for DVD Author, which I have had much success creating DVDs with.

TheFilmMachine is best for a quick and easy conversion of XVID or most DIVX to DVD format. It should output a Video TS folder. The folder would contain VOBS and other files whose size should add up to a standard DVD.

There are better methods to make this conversion, but not many easier.

You could go over the tutorials on the TheFilmMachine site. They should cover most problems. You do have to make a few decisions to set up the program, but the tutorials cover this.

I generally use NERO to burn, no problems so far.

Hi all. After downloading a divx movie, I tried to convert it to dvd format to play on my home dvd player. I tried so many free/shareware/trial softwares all very disappointing and in fact most not producing a working dvd. Finally, last night I tried The Film Machine and hey presto!!! It worked beautifully! Thank you genius at The Film Machine! A simple, versatile and "does as it says" software! Well Done!

Hi all. Although I managed to create a dvd from a divx downloaded movie (last night), I tried to do another movie again this morning (using The Film Machine with QuEnc as I do not have the other encoding softwares) but the process failed with the following error:
    FAILED ON AVS LOAD
    ERROR CODE 2147221164
    DOES THE FILE ….TFM_Avisynth_Script_File.avs EXIST?

I ran the divx movie through DivFix to look for any errors on the original but there were no errors reported.

I then uninstalled The Film Machine and QuEnc softwares, reinstalled them and tried to turn the dvix movie into a dvd. This time I got the following error:
    AVS FILE IS NOT OUTPUTTING
(USE CONVERT TO YV12() AT END OF SCRIPT)

Does anyone know what is going wrong

    Any help much appreciated.

    Thank you.
