    I am new here & was hoping some one could help me ?

    I would like to know is there a way to watermark a dvd-menu or the vob-file (the film) so atfer i backed up the film i see the watermark?

    The piece "atfer i backed up the film " made me believe that's not the case...

    Could IfoEdit be used to add a new subpicture stream ? Not as subtle as a watermark, but less invasive.

    I got the film from hmv i had to order it and it took me about 2months to get it! i have made a backup copy but i would like to watermake backup-copy so i know if any of my mate lend it without telling me i would know then i can have a word with them.

    Absolutely not! But it's not a movie you've made yourself, like freestyler asked. That's all. Backing up DVDs you own has never been considered a no-no here (yet)...
