    Anyone know some good in depth scanning tools otehr than nero and CDSPeed for testing DVD media withotu a liteon? Would love to here some testing tools...very interested.

  2. I have a Pioneer and an NEC drive and they both "have issues" with PI/PIF testing and won't cooperate. I found it was easier to get a Liteon 812S. The best $60 I ever spent.

    purchase a Liteon dvd burner from newegg.com they are so cheap!

    then you can do the Kprobe scans! i only bought my liteon 411 because office depot had them on clearance. it was so cheap i couldn't resist.

    But Egghead doesn't stock it so I won't buy it. Also there is a huge amount of end user support for Liteon so there would have to something phenominal to make me switch to another drive.

    Any way i can do this with a Pioneer 107d? The new DVDInfo and CDSpeed contain a lot of support for other drives..unfortunately I have a Samsung, NEC ND2500A, and Pioneer 107D...and none of these are supported in those two..
