Nero freezes when burning VCD and SVCD

HELP!!!!!!!

I have been burning VCD/SVCD's with NeroVision Express (v2.1.2.16) for some time now, then out of the blue the other day my system craps itself during the writing phase (has no problems transcoding and creating disc image).

I've deleted and reinstalled the programme atleast three times now, but to no avail, and have no need for additional coasters in my house. I'm still able to burn VCD/SVCD using Ulead MovieFactory no probs, but I'm not a huge fan of their restrictive menus.

Has anyone had any experience with this issue or can shed any light on possible problem/solution. Any assistance would be most appreciated.

Perhaps Nero Vision should be removed and reinstalled.

Also, try burning the files to HD and then using a burning app like Nero to actually burn the disc. I've had odd things happen in the past using all-in-one apps to actually burn, like DVD Movie Factory. My best results come when doing the burn as a separate step

Have tried that, no change. Maybe it's the drive???
