hi.i dont know if you guys can help.i have a problem regarding one of the softwares that was installed in my PC which is Pinnacle Instant cd/dvd recorder.i have decided to ask you this question because its been days i havn't recieved any help from Pinnacle or anyone for that matter.my problem is: i cant seem to play my burned files.the thing is the files ive downloaded over the internet are torrent files which require an XviD or DivX "driver" to be installed.my CD-RW drive is working perfectly fine.after i successfully burned it into my CD-R i was able to watch it on my PC afterwards with no flaws at all.but when i tried playing it in my philips multi-region/multi-format player (DVDP520) it says..."Unknown Disc". i do have a tv that is both NTSC and PAL.have i done something wrong during the burning process?do i need Nero 6.0 instead? do i need to "convert" the files ive downloaded? What should i do?Please help! Thanks!

  2. You have to convert the DIVX/XVID to a DVD compliant MPEG stream. There are tons and tons and tons of guides to your left that tell you how to do it, but the best method is using SVCD2DVD (AVI2DVD).

And you're on the cusp of getting a warez warning i think. Next time just mention what you have (DIVX, MPEG, etc) not where you got it.

  3. Your player doesn't support xvid\divx files...

If this isn't an illegal movie you could convert to dvd\svcd\vcd to preview it on your player...

If it is a illegal movie () I'd suggest you go out and buy it, because it's not really worth all the hours you would spend converting!

  4. Check the guides to the left, also need the divx codecs, maybe use virtual dub and tempgenc, then burn with nero (assuming you’re trying to make a VCD). I dislike Pinnicle, because of past problems and lack of response from the company. Also read the forum rules and recent threads about downloading problems

Capmaster, go on with your bad self

    Cheers
