Why the heck didn't you test the VCDs BEFORE deleting the MPEGs? I seriously doubt it's a problem with Nero, since at least some of them work.

I had a similar problem where I was unable to even copy the DAT files to my HD. Did you install any new hardware recently, or install a new CD Writer program? If so, it might have installed new ASPI layers. Some, especially some of those used by CD Writer programs install ones that make it impossible to access the data on VCDs. Try renaming the following files located somewhere in your windows directory (windows/system & windows/system32, if I remember):

    wnaspi32.dll
    winaspi.dll
    aspi32.sys

And restart Windows. See if you can read the VCDs now. If so, then you know what the problem is. Go to http://www.ahead.de and download the ASPI layer from their download page and put it in your nero directory instead of Windows.

Hope this helps. If it doesn't, the only other thing I can think of is that your media is bad. That's what you can get in exchange for buying $0.20 CDRs...

  4. I don't understand why you would say it was Nero fu cking up your vcd's, how did you make your mpeg files in the first place. Usually its not the burning program that fuc ks up the vcds, its the user and his configurations, so unless you give more information no ones gonna be able to help you anyways.

  5. I just drag the mpeg to the track screen and burn it...
What can I do wrong there??????
    And it ISN'T the mpeg...
    I don't make mpegs.
It's the wow version captured by cid...
    Never heard of it???

I can't copy anything from that vcd. He says there's a I/O error and he also said something about a DOS error...
