  1. I can't do it. I've tried with VCD Creator, MovieFactory, and Nero 5.5. 5 attemps to create VCDs and my Panasonic RV31 DVD player won't accept any of them.

On one of the coaster, I didn't put a menu. I added all the files in "Start sequence" of VCD Creator and the DVD player is able to play the VCD.

Is there some special feature that I need to enable in all software or the DVD player? I can view all VCDs on my PC with VCDPlayer, but not with the DVD player itself.

I have a similar problem, I have the Panasonic DVD-RV31R-U.

If I burn a VCD with Nero 5.5.5.1 it works perfectly, but if I add a menu with the same MPEG file, it plays very "stop-and-go".

  3. AFAIK menus are not a part of the VCD standard, if you create menus you build a XVCD disc. XVCD is not supported by most stand alone DVD players. They do not play, or play in 'stutter mode'
