I'm doing inverse telecine on a music video and here's the pattern
1010101000
The last 1 is an interlaced frame that needs to be deinterlaced, but I dont want to bother going through the whole video and using even field deinterlace everytime that frame comes up. Is there a way I can do something like this so TMPG automatically knows that frame should be deinterlaced?
1010102000 or 1010103000
Advice is appreciated.

well....I don't know if there is a better way but I will tell you my trick.
I enter the pattern just as you have done then I click "check" and I choose a clean frame that is close to the interlaced frame and select it. then I deselect the interlace frame and hit the "check" button again until I get to the end.
The pattern I use is:
10101000101010001010100010101010101000
It shows a dead frame every 90th or so, which i think you will find is much better than your current pattern -
Select Inverse 3:2 pulldown for encode mode. If you hover over the selection it explains what it does. Keep the frame rate as 29.97, input type as interlaced, do not de-interlace, no need to IVTC either.
I use this for most of my TV show caps. They almost never follow a set pattern. Save the encode log, and it will tell something like 34567/39567 Frames out Frames in. So you can see the result of selecting the Inverse 3:2 pulldown. TMPG also does this on the fly, no need to wait for it to pre analize every frame. You do take a very slight speed hit though. Without inverse 3:2 an encode could take 55 minutes, with that encode mode selected, it may take 58 minutes.
