  1. Hi. I was wondering if I use a program to encode video to OGG Video (basically the video with ogg audio), what codec should I use for software playing? I've tried playing it in winamp but it won't start. Windows Media Player doesn't even play OGMs

  2. http://tobias.everwicked.com/oggds.htm

This page contains filters that Windows Media Player can use to decode the Vorbis audio.

Also included in the package is the "Ogg Splitter", that will let you playback media files of the (*.ogg, or *.ogm) variety.

    -----------edit---------

Ogg is a container for Audio and Video streams. (like AVI but more versatile)

Vorbis is a type of audio compression (MP3 / WAV / MPG) created by the makers of Ogg.

(a Vorbis audio stream in a Ogg container is referred to as Ogg-Vorbis)
