I downloaded the trial version of WINDVD 5 so that I can take some screen caps for a project.
The problem is, the video does not appear on my screen. I get sound, but with a black screen. If I take a screen capture, the image will show up, but I cannot get the video to stay on the screen.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

Sounds like an overlay problem....
either..
a) You've not got you gfx card configured correctly (eg your trying to play a vid on the NONE primary display)
or
b) something else is using the overlay (only one app can run the overlay at a time).
Try using Videolan (VLC media player) and configure it to run without Overlay (settings / prefs / video / advanced).
PS. VLC is a free media player that plays dvds (and just about everything else). -
I got the opposite error: The video, but no sound
Using other programs there's no error at all. Do you have any idea of how to correct this sound error ?
