I have tried this codec and got it to work once, but have forgotten how. I know i added a few dll files to get it to work, but can't remember what they were or where i got them from. I know it wasn't the regular vb6 package, it was (I think) 2 individual dlls. Does anybody know how to get it to work?

    Thanks!

There should be a .inf file. Right click it and select "install".

  3. To make sure we are talking about the same thing, are these the files in the archive:

    DVDAudio.ax
    DVDVideo.ax
    README.TXT
    regfilters.bat

  4. I've never been able to get it to work on any PC I've installed it on. I just install the trial of Power DVD and then uninstall it. That leaves a good fully functional MPEG2 Codec on the system.

hmm still no luck. i've tried uninstalling dangnear everything and it still gives me a screwed up picture. There does not seem to be an .inf file with it, it
is just an .exe file. Will keep trying.

    Thanks!

Installing Power DVD is probably a better idea. Or you can install the K-lite Codec Pack, which installs either the Ligos or Elecard mpeg-2 decoders. Make sure you choose a custom install and only install what you need. You're looking for trouble it you install everything.

Hey thanks. Got the K-lite package and it works fine now. Is ligos a free mpeg2 codec? I never see it offered by itself. And it took me a while to figure out the girl is from Kill Bill I. Thanks!

I'm pretty sure the Ligos version in the K-lite pack is free. I've had it for a long time and no nag screen yet. Good job for recognizing Go Go.
