Hi everyone!
I just got an Audiovox DV 1680 portable DVD Player and the SVCD menus don't work. It would startup, show the menu, I'd select what I want to play and nothing. I can't do anything from this menu. If I disable the PBC menu, then it will skip the menu and play normally. What I really want it to do is to loop, playing forever, until I tell it to stop. I've already tried the hack for this player, switching regions doesn't seem to work.
I made the SVCD on Proshow Gold. The SVCD menus work on every device that says that it's compatible with SVCDs, until now.
Is there something I could do to the SVCD to make it work, like a codec or something?
All replies are greatly appreciated!!!
Ken

you press the number 1 (or any other number that you'd assigned to the movie) and it didn't work? hmmm strange...
but you have AUDIO right?
coz i created SVCD slideshow using proshow gold but it does not have an AUDIO...only Video.
Try also the photodex support...maybe you'll get LUCKY and they will answer your question -
I had exactly the same trouble, then i figured that i had to press the number keys rather than the arrow keys on my remote. try it.

With some DVD players the menu for SVCD's don't work, but oddly enough they do work with VCD's. It's a mystery. That's how it is on my parent's Panasonic DVD Player. Just pretend the menu is invisible and choose the video you want to watch(1,2,3.....)
