  1. I downloaded ver2.1 of TMPGEenc but it shows no or garbeled
    screen .
On playback from HD sound is ok. Win2k, P4 1.8GHZ.
Also when pushing start it says no MPEG player installed. YetI have Win media player and POWERDVD. Both play other MPEG2 files ok. Using DVD+RW 100i and it works ok with MYDVD .Video quality poor when motion is involved.
This black screen problem seems to be common, have seen it on other websites
    Thanks Gene

  2. I had this same problem when I was trying to convert a music video made in Quicktime (.mov) to avi. When I took the avi into tmpeg it could not play the video however the audio worked fine.

I then took the avi into LSX 2.0 and it had no problems with the file. Converted it to a VCD, no probs.

Seems like this error is with Tmpeg.

  3. Thanks for the reply
I did make a DVD with that TPPGEenc encoded AVI file and the video
has exactly the same defects as the display on the
TMPGEen program. Pretty shure it is defective encoding.
