    Hi ,
I tried switchable SVCD subititles, using the subtool, maestroSBT and winsubMux. After creating the subbed MPG file I burned it using the Ulead DVD Movie Factory 3. But I can't see the subtitles when I play it in my DVD player. I get subtitles when I burn using Nero. Any idea why such problem ?

Why did you go for Ulead DVD Movie Factory when you have a working process using Nero?
My (strong) suggestion for authoring SVCD is to use VCDEasy - by far the best tool for this step there is.

  3. I agree that VCDEasy is the best tool for authoring SVCD. However since ujjwal wants to make a SVCD with switchable subtitles, I would recommend using Nero.

I don't know why, but when I author a SVCD with switchable subtitles using VCDEasy, the subtitles doesn't show on my standalone DVD player. But if I do the same thing using Nero, then the subtitles is visible.

OK! Didn't know that, since my DVD player (like most) doesn't support selectable SVCD subs anyway. I've always used perm subs - much easier.

Thanks a lot people... Actually Ulead DMF gives me facitility to have a Cool Menu & chapter support and background music. I don't know how to do this (except for the background image) in Nero.
    Is there a way ?

The way is to go for permanent subs. Probably (as switcable subs in SVCD is not widely supported even if it's in the SVCD standard) Ulead DMF (like VCDEasy obviously doesn't even if I find it hard to believe) don't support switchable subs - Hell, not many DVD authoring apps support swichable DVD subs! so if you want to do fancy menus and stuff and have subs make 'em permanent.
