Very confusing.....too much programs and options

Hi all...

i recently posted a new topic in this forum asking where can i found the best guide to RIP and CONVERT DVD to VCD with or without subtitles. there is too many software available and too many options for a newbie...seriously for the past 2 weeks i made some search on the web to learn more about ripping and converting dvd to vcd but i saw so many different opinions about the way to made VCD from a dvd....
and i also saw so different opinions about the software to use to get to the point....

so can anyone help me to find a good guide to ripp and convert dvd to vcd with subtitles and to have the best quality possible for a vcd....

i'm begining to be a little bit confuse about the way to get my goal...

please i'm asking some help...
