  1. Hi, I have a problem with (s)vcd discs playing in my DVD player - written to a CD-RW.

The writing procedure is the following:
divx(xvid, etc.) - > encoding with TMPGenc to vcd or svcd.
After this I authorize it with free version of VCDEasy and write it to an quick erased CD-RW with Nero Burning ROM v6.
When finished, I try to play in my DVD player, everything looks good, the movie starts, but after a time (5m or 30M or 1h)
the picture will be motley (or confused, rather see jpg example ) and the player stops playing the movie.

This symptom not present in a simple CD-R, so the authorized bin/cue is good (I try it on my harddisk, before writing. Unpack with isobuster, and play. It was good.)

The player also looks to me like good, because when I take the written CD-RW's .dat mpeg, remove the RIFF header with CDXA2MPEG tool (or isobuster), and play the mpeg, the problem also return, now in my computer.

So, what is the wrong? The Nero Burning Rom, or the CD-RW media, or anything other??

Thanks for reply and sorry for my english

    PS:
The wrong RW discs was: Verbatim DataLifePlus 2x-4x, and 4x TDK RW.

  2. I had the same problem when trying to burn a VCD using a CD-RW disc.
for some reason(I never really looked it to it) VCDs/SVCDs burned on CD-RW never worked right for me on any of my standalone players. So I burned the on a CD-R and they play fine. With how cheap blanks CD-Rs 15-20 cents a peice or cheaper is worth it for me to just burn them. and save me the time trying to figure it out.

ps: Iv'e heard the if you burn at 2x or even 1x that the CD-RW will play fine but I have not tried that...it would take too long.
