  1. I always get the same file size after conversion to svcd with all of the qaulity settings.
Example - Encode a 700mb avi file to svcd with the masterring quality setting. It ends up as 1.8 gb's. Same thing for the high speed setting. I would like a smaller conversion size so I can split onto 2 disks instead of 3.
How do I get a smaller conversion size(prefferably 1.4 to 1.6 gb's) without losing quality?

Lower the bitrate. Use the DVDRhelp Bitrate Calculator to determine the correct number for a two disc encode. Also, remember that you can fit up to 800mb on one disc. The 1.6gb file you have might actually fit on two discs.

I guess you downloaded the whole applet. Just double click on the "Bitratecalc.html" file. That'll bring up your web browser so you can use the applet. All you need to do is plug in the length of your avi, select svcd as the type, make sure that 2 80 minute cd's is selected and take the average bitrate that is given and plug that number into Procoder.
