  1. If you want to put together up to 99 slide shows on a VCD or DVD with one level authoring and music background for the shows and menus 'and' burn a VCD or DVD this is the one. This is one slick piece of software.

  2. Why not just use Ulead Video Studio 5. It lets you do all that and a lot more like transitions and picture in picture effect

    No (unless I am missing something), VS5 does not do it all. For example, you have reize the picture to correct for the difference in aspect ratios between the photo and TV. With VS5 you can't easly move the images around and adding the music is more tediuos. Lastly, you have to wait while your encoder of choice creates your mpeg file -and- I think the image from the DVD PictureShow is much better. The authoring is single tier and lets you play one slide show (chapter on a VCD...) without playing all the rest. Yes, this program is not for everybody. You can't do special effects and if special effects is your thing this program is not for you. I just though for $30 it is slick.
