  1. I have an .avi file that only plays audio when I load it in Windows Media Player, and when I play it, it attempts to download a codec, and always has an error while downloading it... I want to know if its possible that this file also has video? I wanted a program to let me know how the file was encoded, or if it was the correct type or.... Please help...

    Check it with AVIcodec and that should tell you how it's encoded.
