  1. ok, i have 9 bmps 704x480, all 991kb in size.

    1. i run them through tmpeg2 with settings for ntsc stills and get m1v files about 295 kb in size.

    2. ? rename them to mpv and patch them with tscv?

    3. ? rename the patched mpv to mpg and use it as still menu?

it seems to me i can as well take the m1v from tmpeg and use that directly for still menus...?
I know for certain that the 35kb files TSCV generates from those m1v files are way too crappy in Quality as to pass for HQ res stills. :O

if anyone could point me towards a step by step guide for making VCD HQ stills for dummies I'd really be grateful.

    Thanks.

  2. the guide doesn't refer to creating valid HQ still mpgs.
HQ still mpgs do not need any wav file. Hence they are called STILLS. the guide moreover does not result in HQ 704x stills.

Can anyone point me to a doc where I can read up on creating HQ stills with ?tmpeg?

    thanks.

  3. Well u're in luck! i just completed my "How To Make High Resolution VCD Stills" tutorial!

    http://www.geocities.com/mikk999/VCDStills.htm

If anyone has trouble with the PNG images please tell me. They keep the image size waaaaayyyy down though.

I'll add the details on how to add music at a later date.
